Red Horse-chestnut is the hybrid between Horse-chestnut (Aesculus hippocastanum) and Red Buckeye (Aesculus  pavia). It is very similar to Horse-chestnut but the flowers become bright pink at maturity. It can become a very large tree and it is widely planted in parks and large gardens. It does not occur naturalised in West Glamorgan.
