Punctelia jeckeri

(Roum.) Kalb

A foliose species considered to be on the increase. It is found on bark, often in shaded positions. The thallus is pale greenish-grey, pruinose, becoming brownish-grey at the margins. Some pseudocyphellae are characteristically oval or comma-shaped and soralia occur mainly along edges of lobes. Lower surface pale and chemical tests on the medulla and soredia are C+ carmine-red, KC+ red, UV-. 

Not listed by Alan Orange in Flora of Glamorgan (Wade et al, 1994).
