Myriolecis (Lecanora) albescens

(Hoffm.) Sliwa, Zhao Xin & Lumbsch

Mostly recorded in coastal locations. Recorded from a range of hard calcareous substrates, these including natural outcrops of Carboniferous Limestone at Minor Point and West Cliff, Gower, but it is probably more frequent on artificial substrates such as mortar and concrete. It is locally frequent on basic furnace slag within the Port Talbot steelworks site.

Listed under Lecanora albescens by Alan Orange in Flora of Glamorgan (Wade et al, 1994).
