A foliose lichen of nutrient enriched sites, said to be on the increase. It grows on well-lit branches of trees, the narrow, glossy light green lobes being closely attached and covered with abundant overlapping lobules. Apothecia not known, all reactions are negative. Recently recorded on Salix cinerea twigs in wet woodland at Coed Darcy.
Not listed by Alan Orange in Flora of Glamorgan (Wade et al, 1994).
