Lecanora intricata

(Ach.) Ach.

A species found on a range of siliceous rocks, walls and occasionally sawn wood. In the recording area it is found on Pennant Sandstone and Old Red Sandstone. The yellowish-green or greyish thallus is areolate, with greenish-black immersed apothecia, becoming flexuose and excluded. L. polytropa has a similar thallus of scattered areoles, but with pale yellowish-green discs.

Listed by Alan Orange in Flora of Glamorgan (Wade et al, 1994).
