Blennothallia crispa (Collema crispum) Crisped Gelatinous Lichen

(Huds.) F.H. Wigg.

Blennothallia (Collema) crispum has a very dark green, crispy thallus which is thinner than the thallus of the other common Collema species. It rarely produces apothecia but sometimes bears scale-like isidia. It is occasionally encountered in the gravelly substrate that accumulates at the side of forest roads.

Listed underĀ Collema crispum by Alan Orange in Flora of Glamorgan (Wade et al, 1994).
