Agonimia tristicula

(Nyl.) Zahlbr.

A species of calcareous substrates, such as thin rendzinas, mortar or base-rich bark. The thallus comprises a mass of green squamules (grey-brown when dry) in which black, barrel-shaped apothecia can be found. On the Gower cliffs the species has been recorded growing among colonies of Reboulia hemisphaerica (Hemisphaeric Liverwort).
