Porpidia tuberculosa

Porpidia tuberculosa is one of the most common crustose lichens on acidic rocks in the uplands. It often occurs on siliceous sandstone boulders. The white thallus is often cracked or warted and surrounded by a black border (prothallus). It can be quite non-descript and often doesn't have any apothecia.
