Inocybe leptophylla

G.F. Atk.

Inocybe leptophylla is an uncommon Fibrecap in West Glamorgan with a few records from Sitka Spruce forests. Its stem and cap are dark brown, which can make the fruiting bodies difficult to pick out against the dark needle litter on the forest floor. The cap is covered in small but conspicuous upright scales and is very dark (almost black) in the broadly umbonate centre.
