Cortinarius raphanoides

(Pers.) Fr.

Cortinarius raphanoides is a webcap of Birch woodland which appears to be relatively uncommon in West Glamorgan, but may be under recorded. It has a yellow-brown, finely fibrillose cap, often with olivaceous tints. It has quite a strong smell of radish, hence the epithet raphanoides.
