Cortinarius diasemospermus var. leptospermus

Lamoure

Cortinarius diasemospermus var. leptospermus is a relatively slender webcap which is found associated with broad-leaved woodland with willow (Salix spp.) and Beech (Fagus sylvatica) in West Glamorgan. The cap is a grey-brown colour, sometimes with a prominent umbo and usually striate at the margin. It dries out to a paler colour and is often paler coloured around the edges of the cap. This taxon has been subject to some confusion in nomenclature and its name is synonymous with Cortinarius desetorum.
