An attractive saffron-orange toadstool which is usually associated with dediduous trees, especially Birch and Oak. It is rather local in West Glamorgan and although widespread in Brtian it is not common. In most years it can be found in the Gnoll Country Park and in the oak woodlands of the Pelenna Valley. It also occurs occasionally in plantations associated with Sitka Spruce.
