Paton
A calcicole, Suboceanic, dioicous leafy liverwort which occurs on shaded walls in rocky woodlands and ravines. It is similar to Plagiochila asplenioides and Plagiochila porelloides and differs from them in its larger leaf cells. It is restricted largely to western Britain and almost certainly under recorded there. In West Glamorgam it has only been recorded in Gower, mostly along the south coast. Sporophytes are very rare.
