(Mitt.) Hedenäs
An upright, dioicous, pleurocapous moss of sandy or gravelly soils which are slightly acidic or slightly basic in nature. The glossy, flattened shoots with curved leaves on one side give it a very distinctive appearance but if present in small quantities it can be overlooked. It has a predominantly western distribution in Britain and is scattered throughout West Glamorgan. It is frequently found along the gravelled edges of forest roads in the uplands of Neath Port Talbot
