Bryum pallens Pale Thread-moss

Sw.

A dioicous, acrocarpous moss usually with a pink or rosy-red hue. It is common in damp places throughout most of Britain and typically found on bare soil along roadsides or near flushes, river banks, streams and in waste places. It has a scattered distribution in West Glamorgan and may be under recorded. It rarely produces sporophyte capsules.
