(Hedw.) Schimp.

One of our most common pleurocarpous mosses which can form attractive and luxuriant patches on wood and rock. It is quite shade tolerant and often occurs as an epiphyte on soft-barked trees. Sporophyte capsules are common on this autoicous moss. It is very common throughout West Glamorgan.
