(L.) Gray

An unmistakable, dioicous, usually calcifuge, suboceanic leafy liverwort of oak woodland in the west of Britain, growing in large cushions on boulders and banks in humid sites. Sporophytes are very uncommon. It is very rare in West Glamorgan with one remarkable record from Pwll-du Head in Gower.
