Atrichum undulatum Common Smoothcap

(Hedw.) P.Beauv.

One of the most common and widespread acrocarpous mosses in Britain, found almost everywhere in suitable places throughout the country. It is a plant of shaded habitats, particularly woodland, prefering acidic soils. It is monoicous and capsules are common. It is found throughout West Galmorgan.
