Aloina aloides Common Aloe-moss

An acrocarpous species of bare, base-rich substrates such as calcareous quarries and old mortar on stone walls and bridges. It is dioicous but capsules are usually abundant. It is scattered and widespread in Britain. In West Glamorgan it has a mostly coastal distribution but is found inland occasionally on old walls and other stonework.
